Section 5 - Support and Intervention
Content Specialist Office Hours
At BRA, we have our very own Content Specialists (HQTs) who can further support your student's learning in high school content courses. Please visit their page to access their schedule by clicking on the chart to the left and use their zoom link to access their live sessions.
Open hours: accessible to all students, HSTs and parents needing guidance with the AG Guides or other subject-related items.
Closed hours: open only to students.
Skills- and/or A-G Assignments- focused hours: Content Specialists will be offering hours focused on how to complete an AG Assignment in a particular subject and unit. This could be a walk-through for a lab, how to work through a math project, etc. As well, they will add a special focus to their hours when they see a need for working on a particular skill or topic (i.e. the need to review simplifying radical terms for Algebra 1).
Student Supports and Intervention (SST)
The mission of the Student Supports and Intervention Team is to provide meaningful and effective intervention to ensure the overall wellness of the students at Blue Ridge Academy.
Our department acts as the first line of defense when students begin to struggle with academics, behavior, or social-emotional health. If you feel your student is struggling in one of these three target areas, please work with your HST to gather more information.
