I love listening to Music. I believe music can be therapeutic. It helps me on those days when I need to get motivated to go to the gym, get me through those tough days, or create a dance off competition among my family. I listen to all types of genres of music from country, grunge rock, classic rock, classical, christian, pop, and EDM. I love hiking, traveling, reading and watching the Masked Singer. (Like I said, I like Music).
I have worked in higher education for more than 12 plus years. Mainly I worked as a College Admission Advisor/Counselor. I have worked with programs such as EOP, Upward Bound, International Students and Veterans, and CTE (Career Training Education). I worked as a DODEA (Department of Defense) School Counselor in Middle and High School. Now I am here at Blue Ridge Academy, where I look forward to helping you succeed academically, college/career readiness or social-emotionally.

Michelle Baserga
Hi, I am Michelle Baserga. This is my third year at Blue Ridge Academy, and it has been a pleasure working with the amazing community here. I have been in education for close to eight years, and I am happy that I pursued a career in School Counseling after being in the field of Human Resources for 20+ years. It is never too late to change careers and pursue your dream goals!
I have two Master's degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in School Counseling, both from the University of La Verne. I completed my undergraduate education at Whittier College, and then stayed in the city of Whittier to live and raise my family.
When I am not giving my undivided attention to our students, I am traveling and exploring different places in the United States or the world with my two daughters and husband. Last summer we spent three weeks in the United Kingdom, visiting London and Scotland. Both are amazing to visit, but Scotland has the most breathtaking and dramatic mountains and glens of the Highlands, the castles, and of course, the Highland cattle, affectionately known as "Highland coos". We had the best time out there!
I look forward to meeting you soon!

Hello! It has been a true pleasure joining the Blue Ridge Academy Community. I will be serving students Diaz - Khan. When I am not giving my undivided attention to our students, I am exploring every corner that I can find. I love visiting many of the SoCal beaches, taking serene walks around different neighborhoods, and learning new ways to make my coffee!
A Fun Fact: When I was in high school, my "Plan" was to study Law and Politics to become a Civil Rights Lawyer. However, my passion for education grew stronger during college and that led me to apply for my Masters of Education and then eventually a Masters in School Counseling. In my spare time I continue to learn about law and politics as it remains a passion of mine.
My Alma Maters include: UC Riverside, Hunter College in the City of New York, and CSU Dominguez Hills.
Looking forward to working with you all! "

Meet Dr. Leonard Cheung
I live in Arcadia with my wife and three kids. I previously worked as a high school English teacher. Aside from school counseling, I have a research interest in Education and Family Studies. I was recently able to complete my Ph.D. and hope to be able to pursue some research positions on the side to help promote school choice and policies that will strengthen our families. Outside of work, I play tennis and sing/play guitar for Crosslife Community Church. I'm a terrible dancer, but I am hoping to convince my family to join a dance class and do performances together.
