Workshop Invitation & Collaboration
Texture版畫工作室長期與國內外藝術家、學術單位及文化機構合作，透過工作坊與講座建立以創作、技術與交流為核心的公共參與形式。我們的工作坊不僅限於技術教學，而是結合創作方法、媒材轉譯與在地觀察，發展具脈絡的實踐內容。形式可依需求彈性調整，涵蓋藝術家分享、技法示範、實作體驗或概念導向之創作引導，並可與駐村、展覽或其他公共活動整合執行。
Texture Printmaking Studio collaborates with artists, academic institutions, and cultural organizations both locally and internationally. Through workshops and talks, we develop public programs centered on artistic practice, technical exploration, and exchange. Our workshops are not limited to technical instruction; they integrate creative methodologies, material translation, and contextual engagement. Formats are flexible and may include artist talks, demonstrations, hands-on sessions, or concept-driven activities, and can be integrated with residencies, exhibitions, or other public programs. 「利樂包凹版」廣興紙寮 X Texture版畫工作室

2025年開始，我們與台灣首屈一指的手工紙廠-廣興紙寮簽署了合作合約。紙與印刷感覺是分不開的雙生夥伴，借這個機會邀請周邊的居民成為學員，展開了兩場工作坊，選擇利樂包作為板材，利用常見的回收物為媒介，讓大家了解凹版的製程，也同時可以了解廣興紙的各種可能。
Starting in 2025, we have signed a collaboration agreement with one of Taiwan’s leading handmade paper mills, GoangXing Paper Mill.
Paper and printmaking are inseparable—like twin partners. Through this collaboration, we invited local community members to participate in two workshops. Using Tetra Pak cartons as printing plates and everyday recycled materials as a medium, participants were introduced to the process of intaglio printmaking, while also exploring the diverse possibilities of GoangXing’s handmade paper.

2025開春第一場工作坊與講座就讓台南市美術館包起來惹。感謝 #中國民國版畫學會 策劃的國際版畫展，以此為契機，讓我有機會幫館內的志工與館員做版畫的介紹。
花了一天的時間，上午的講座粗領域的介紹版畫中的四個基礎原理凹凸孔平，再配合展覽中的作品實際觀察版種的差異，花了一上午也還是概述而已（扶額）。昨天的大家都很認真的提出很多問題，提到Ai、複製畫與印刷，透過這個機會也讓我好好的解釋，版畫容易讓大家誤會的部分。
下午場，特地挑選較少看到的「凹版」「平版」印刷方式，透過實際示範也更幫大家解惑，早上到底再說什麼！這次從新穎的「廚房平版」先來理解平版與套色，再到古典的「美柔汀」用天鵝絨的黑拉下謝幕。
The first workshop and lecture of 2025 are officially wrapped up at the Tainan Art Museum! Thanks to the International Print Exhibition organized by the Taiwan Printmaking Society, I had the opportunity to introduce printmaking to the museum's volunteers and staff.
The question “What is printmaking?” is truly a monumental one—one that I could probably talk about for days on end. During the morning lecture, I explained the four basic principles of printmaking: relief, intaglio, stencil, and lithography processes. We also observed the differences among these types of prints through the artworks in the exhibition. Even with a full morning, it was still just a general overview (facepalm).
The audience was highly engaged and raised many thoughtful questions, touching on topics like AI, reproductions, and printing. This gave me the perfect chance to clarify some common misconceptions about printmaking.
For the afternoon session, I selected the less commonly seen in Taiwan methods of intaglio and lithography for demonstration. Through hands-on examples, participants gained a clearer understanding of what was covered in the morning. We started with the innovative “kitchen lithography” technique to explore planographic printing and multi-color layering, and concluded with the classical mezzotint, unveiling its velvety blacks to bring the day to a close.

「咖啡絹網製版法」是一種對於環境相對來說更環保與安全的製網方式。並且更能保留手繪的筆觸，也因為不用感光，少了好多道等乾的手續，時間縮短多～ 非常適合第一次學習絹的大家：）
In late October 2024, our studio discovered a non-photo-emulsion method for screen printing. Special thanks to artist Karen D. Beckwith for staying up late and experimenting together!
The "Coffee Screen Printing Method " technique offers a safer and more environmentally friendly alternative for screen preparation. It preserves the texture of hand-drawn lines and, without the need for photo-emulsion, eliminates multiple drying steps, significantly reducing production time. It’s a perfect method for those learning screen printing for the first time. :)

「2025年的第一天，我們用文字與版畫寫下對台灣的祝福。」 一個特別的開始，連續6小時的準備、印製、收拾。總計約莫150件的印製，在布上、衣服上、包包上、手機殼上⋯⋯感謝每一位的參與，藉著小小活動希望能看到大家未來繼續將台灣背在肩上，走出自由的路。 再次感謝 岩無 的發起，與協助活動順利進行的大家，特別感謝堅持不懈的絹網本人，辛苦了。 新年快樂，乙巳年請多多指教。
On the first day of 2025, we shared blessings for Taiwan through print and words. Over six hours, around 150 prints found their place on fabric, shirts, bags, phone cases, and more.
Thank you to everyone who joined — may we all continue to carry Taiwan on our shoulders and walk the path of freedom. Big thanks to Yanwu (岩無) for initiating the event, and to all who helped — especially our tireless silkscreen. Happy New Year. Here's to the Year of the Snake!

Monoprint is an easy printmaking method using layered colors and wiping techniques to create rich textures. It’s accessible for everyone, including those with limited hand mobility.

吉利丁版是一種單刷的底版，利用吉利丁的Q彈可以做出比較多的紋路與質感。在這次工作坊中我們沒有使用市售的吉利丁版，而是從吉利丁粉開始調製，製作出自製的版。吉利丁版同時也是無毒版畫，如果在過程中板材破損，只要加熱就能再重新注模得到全新的版喔：）
Gelatin plates are a type of monoprint base that use the soft, bouncy texture of gelatin to create rich patterns and textures. It's a non-toxic, safe material — and if the plate gets damaged, you can simply reheat and remold it into a brand-new one. :)

針對國小生設計的「利樂包凸版」 是一種利用回收飲料包（利樂包）製作的環保版畫技法。將利樂包內層銀面朝外，透過壓痕與刻畫創造圖像，再以凸版印刷方式印製，能呈現出特殊的金屬質感與手感紋理。這不僅是創作，也是對日常廢材的重新想像。

The theme this time is "sustainability." We’ll use recycled Tetra Paks as printing plates, inviting everyone to create their own unique tree.
Tetra Pak Relief Printing is a sustainable printmaking technique that uses recycled drink cartons (Tetra Paks) as printing plates. By embossing and carving into the silver inner layer, artists can create rich textures and unique metallic effects through relief printing. It's a creative way to reimagine everyday waste into art.
