Insights from Training and support

In this section of the virtual visit, we will hear from multiple perspectives from the Training and Support team on how they routinely use different sources of data, often through triangulation, to support teacher effectiveness, leadership development, and support teacher coaches.

Veronica González, National Coordinator of Teacher Coaches and Participant Leadership, describes how her team uses data in the following ways:

  • To conduct learning loops to identify strong teacher coaches and to learn from best practices of those coaches.
  • Support teacher coaches to use student-level data (standardized assessment scores, socioemotional skills data, student perceptions, and classroom observations) to help participants make changes in their instructional strategies
