1st Attempt
Complete the 240 Tutoring Diagnostic
Prioritize your highest need areas
Study 2-4 times per week, as your schedule allows
Complete 75-100% of your modules OR consistently pass your practice tests at 75% or higher
2nd Attempt
All of the above, plus...
Required Zoom check-in meeting with PM
Create a new study plan
3rd & 4th Attempt
All of the above, plus...
Required in-person FTCE Exam prep through MDC or M-DCPS
TAP Staff will email you instructions on creating an account. Each account is replenished monthly based on activity. If your account has shown little to no activity for the month, we may suspend your 240 Tutoring account until we are able to speak with you regarding your progress.

Each subject area has 6 virtual sessions that take place in the evenings. You must complete the FTCE Virtual Session Sign Up form to express your interest in these sessions. Once submitted, you will receive an email with the Zoom session links a few days before the start of the session.

Determine which days of the week are your "Study Days." (Ex. I'll study Mondays for 2 hours, Wednesdays for 2 hours and Saturdays for 3 hours). Make a copy of this Sample Study Calendar to keep track of when you are studying or planning to study.
Use your test Diagnostic on the FTCE site to determine your highest and lowest competencies and use these to help guide your studying. (Diagnostics are linked for each test below.)
