There is no single resource to research and apply to international universities. You need to identify international universities that you are interested in and then look on their websites for information related to "International Student Admissions" or "Canadian Student Admissions". To help your Guidance Counsellor support you, please use the "Student Responsibilities for American and International University Applications" and "York Mills US and International University Application Plan" instructions and documents.

Are you planning to apply to U.S. universities? This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is designed to first give you a broad overview of the steps you need to take to prepare to apply to U.S. universities and then take you through each part of the application in-depth.  

Helpful Resources

The official US government agency to support students who wish to study in the United States.  Provides a lot of information in print (including checklists for regular students and student athletes) and via webinars.  Will also provide 1-on-1 virtual advising sessions with a counsellor. 

Probably the most important website for students considering a college application in the United States.  Provides a search engine with all sorts of parameters that a student can set (region, admission criteria, sports offered, study disciplines, tuition rates, etc.).  Also the place to go for SAT information and registration as well as information about Advanced Placement. 

Another website that has search engines to research US colleges.  Also provides information on standardized entrance tests, financing and applying for college. 

Information about the SAT standardized test including practice tests and registration. 

Provides information about the ACT standardized test, including practice tests and the ability to register for upcoming test dates.

EducationUSA provides a useful "Grade 9 to 12" checklist of things you should be thinking about if you are considering becoming a U.S. Collegiate Athlete.

The NCAA has created a website with resources specifically for Canadian Student-Athletes. This includes lists of courses that are approved for use in academic certification.

NOTE: This organization offers a subscription service to help student-athletes navigate the recruitment process. The subscriptions are a bit pricey, but they have a lot of valuable free resources on their website that you may find helpful. Including:
