Semester 2 Information

Semester 2 timetable change requests start: Friday January 30 (3:30pm) till Monday February 2 (3:30pm)

Use the following: Semester 2 Course Change Requests  As of now, all semester 2 courses are locked!

• You may submit only ONE request to make a change OR multiple changes to your timetable. 

• Moving to another section/class of the same course is NOT permitted.

• Teacher selection is NOT permitted.

Refer to YM Course Matrix to see what courses are available in specific periods (ensure you select the sem 2 tab at the bottom!)

Submitting a course request that involves a FULL course, will automatically put you on one of the Tiered Waitlist!  Counsellors cannot predict if a course will have open spots!  Counsellors will monitor the waitlist and email you if a spot opens.  IF Tier #3 applies to you, a counsellor will ONLY email you AFTER the deadline has passed to provide an update. 

If spots opens in a FULL course, priority will be given to the following Waitlist:

Tier 1. New Students who are entering York Mills

Tier 2. Current YM Students who DID NOT have the course on their timetable at any point this year

Tier 3. Students who dropped the course in semester 1 (will be notified AFTER the deadline)

*Students  consider: TDSB eLearning Day School (registration starts Nov 12, 10am) & TDSB Night School (registration starts Nov 18, 10am)

🙏 Please be patient. We have many timetable change requests. We will respond as soon as possible. 

• Student wishing to drop a current course for a SPARE can use Course Drop Request Form (Only for gr. 11 or gr. 12's)

• Students MUST have a minimum of 3 courses on their TDSB Connects. Night school or external courses do NOT count. 

• There is no such thing as Part-time status at York Mills anymore!

**Active YM status requires students to be enrolled in 3 YM in-person courses OR 2 YM In person courses + 1 TDSB eLearning course**

• Follow your current timetable until your Counsellor confirms (via email) a change has been made!

• The deadline dates for the 2025/2026 school year to drop a course without it appearing on your transcript can be found via 2025-2026 YM Student Calendar

Semester 2 timetables are on your TDSB Connects App. 

TDSB will email them in early or mid February.

Click here for instructions to login to your account for the first time. (It will take at least 48 hours to activate after your registration appointment.) You will need your student number. It is on your timetable. If you do not have your timetable please email your Guidance counsellor to obtain it. The shared secret password is 8 digits long in the following format: last 4 digits of the student numbers, 2 digits day of birth, 2 digits month of birth.
