Job Description
Position #1: Marketing Assistant (Co-op) AM co-op
Please Note: This role is predominantly remote and the successful candidate may be required to use their own computer or laptop (PC preferred) with reliable internet during working hours. The position requires daily regular work hours (Monday to Friday). CFA Society Toronto works in a hybrid office model, and the position may be required to work in the office from time to time. CFA Society Toronto’s office is located in downtown Toronto at the corner of York Street and Adelaide Street.
Responsibilities:
Support marketing efforts across digital channels (social media, email, website, blog, etc.).
Assist in developing monthly content calendars for multi-channel communications.
Database entry related to marketing contacts; pull and sort lists for distribution.
Design and develop content for web, social media, and email campaigns.
Assist with website updates and redevelopment projects.
Help create and post content on social media platforms.
Assist with creation and distribution of e-newsletters.
Collect and assess analytics for web, social media, and email campaigns.
Opportunity to create graphics and videos.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Descript (graphic/audio/video editing).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Good interpersonal and communication skills; sound judgment.
Self-reliant, driven, and a strong team player.
Reliable transportation to CFA Society Toronto’s office.

Position #2: Next Gen Program Assistant (Co-op) - AM

Responsibilities:
Provide feedback on whether educational content is appropriate and engaging for high school audiences.
Offer ideas on how to effectively reach out and spark interest among high school students.
Generate ideas on how to promote CFA Society Toronto to high school students.
Assist in the creation and development of content for workshops, online platforms, and promotional materials.
Partner with the marketing team to promote educational initiatives across multiple channels.
Assist in preparing reports and presentations on program outcomes and performance.
Create easy-to-use guides to help high school students succeed in pursuing the CFA Charter.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position #3: Event Planning Assistant (Co-op Semester 2) - AM

Responsibilities:
Event logistics coordination and support.
Coordinate onsite meeting and event catering.
Order event materials.
Conduct venue/vendor research and request quotes.
Support setup and teardown of onsite and offsite meetings and events.
Complete floorplans (based on templates) and AV forms.
Provide event registration desk support.
Assist with event preparation.
Print and stuff name badges.
Prepare tent cards and other printed materials.
Organize materials for distribution (e.g., swag, mini charters).
Create event slideshows (based on templates).
Create events on the organization’s website using the Cvent event management platform.
Coordinate shipping and receiving of materials for offsite events.
Use SurveyMonkey to create post-event surveys, pull results, and update past event survey summary documents.
Assist with event implementation, including hands-on coordination and execution of monthly Brewing Connections events under guidance and supervision.
Perform data entry and maintain records, including past event speaker lists with event details and session descriptions.
Support data reporting and analysis by pulling data from various sources for tracking, analysis, and status updates.
Process expenses with controlled exposure to internal accounting procedures.
Perform other data entry, event, program, or project coordination duties as assigned.
Provide administrative and operational support for other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe (PDFs).
Knowledge of Zoom is an asset.

Position #4: IT Assistant (Co-op Semester 2) - AM

Responsibilities:
Support the team with data clean-up tasks in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Dynamics CRM).
Assist with basic data management activities.
Organize and maintain information within the CRM system.
Work with computers and digital tools to support data integrity and office administration.
Receive direction and mentorship from the Senior Manager, IT in various aspects of data management in a small business and not-for-profit context.

Responsibilities:
Create a creative slideshow or digital media project that expresses the history of CFA Society Toronto.
Organize and digitize physical photos and digital images related to the organization’s 90-year history.
Make sense of the historical timeline and develop content suitable for display at events and online.
Create shorter digital content from historical highlights for potential use on social media and the website, time permitting.
Manage a dedicated project with direction and mentorship from the Associate, Membership & Operations.
Participate in regular feedback meetings and use provided materials and guidance to complete assigned tasks.
