The Enriched Dance Program is designed for students who demonstrate both talent and passion for dance. Focus is placed on enhanced curricular and extra-curricular opportunities in the development of technique, composition and performance. Students learn from a focused learning environment, special guest artists, extra-curricular performance-based excursions and additional school-wide performance opportunities.
Enriched Dance Programming is designed to guide students on their journey toward self-expression, ingenuity, and academic inquiry while providing students with both a sense of pride and belonging in an artistic community of learners.
Please note:
Grade 8 students can apply for our Enriched Arts programs directly from grade 8 or after completing the Grade 9 Integrated Arts program at St. Patrick CSS.
The application process consists of a grade 8 teacher referral, and an in-person audition and a one-on-one interview.
Successful candidates are selected not on a portfolio or audition but on their artistic potential and willingness to learn.
At the end of four years, students who successfully complete the Enriched Arts program will be prepared for a variety of post-secondary destinations and will receive an Arts Certificate.
