MATHEMATICS

Our mathematics courses are committed to excellence and the development of the full potential of every student. We explore a variety of instructional and assessment strategies in order to support the learning needs of all students including those with Individual Educational Plans and English Language Learners. Learning tasks incorporate various technologies (Graphing Calculators, iPads, various APPs and programs, etc.) to support the development of critical thinking and problem solving while stimulating creativity and developing analytical thought. Madonna also offers extra help sessions and after-school Grade 9 Numeracy classes. Mathematics enrichment includes participation in the Waterloo Math Contests and the Math Club.
