The focus of the English curriculum is on the development of reading, writing, and oral communication skills students need to be successful in secondary and post-secondary education and in their chosen careers. Throughout all English courses students will read and analyze various literary texts from contemporary and historical periods, interpret forms of non-fiction texts, and create various written, oral, and media texts of their own. We also offer a unique selection of Native Studies English courses in senior grades, which offer additional experiential learning opportunities allowing students to deeply explore issues relevant in their daily lives.
