Cooperative Education provides students with the opportunity to earn credits within a work experience during the school day. These work experiences provide students with the opportunity to explore professions and industries in light of their career plans. Additionally, cooperative education provides real-life opportunities for students to apply their knowledge and refine their skills to support their continued success. Traditionally a large number of Madonna students are placed at highly sought after positions within hospitals (i.e. Mount Sinai and Sick Kids), retail establishments, law offices, accounting firms, pharmacies, schools and the hospitality sector. In grades 11 and 12, students can apply to participate in the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) where they will train as apprentices in various fields including, Child Development Practitioner, Child and Youth Worker, and Culinary Arts.
