FRENCH

French is offered at both the “applied” and “academic” levels, as well as an "open" level for ESL students. Students are required to successfully complete one Grade 9 French credit in order to graduate. The program provides students with opportunities to speak, read, write and listen to French, as well as learn about diverse cultures associated with the French language. In the past, students have engaged in fun activities like a field trip to a French restaurant, the Art Gallery of Ontario, making and eating crepes, and celebrating Winter Carnival festivities.
