Expanded Notation, 3rd Grade Math
Expanded Notation, 3rd Grade Math
Since I do not currently have a classroom of my own, I chose to analyze a unit from my Spring 2024 Clinical Teaching Placement. I was in a 3rd-grade Math/Science class in Bryan ISD. My school followed a scope and sequence unit structure and utilized a variety of lessons and assessments developed by district curriculum writers, instructional coaches, and classroom teachers. I chose to analyze a unit that I taught during my full responsibility that focused on expanded notation and relationships between place value and the base-10 number system.
An infographic report on the professional perspectives regarding the scope and sequence approach to math instruction. Perspectives taken from the National Council of Teaching Mathematics and the International Society for Technology in Education.
