I used the Benchmark Education Company program called Benchmark Writer's Workshop. This program develops foundational writing skills that are rigorous, cross-curricular, and vertically aligned to state standards. 

Annotated Matrix 

The Benchmark Writers Workshop exhibits characteristics of the constructivist approach which is based on the theory of cognitive development. Learners create meaningful experiences by exploring and engaging in the world around them. 

Research Based Review of Curricular Theory 

This professional organization stance reviews standards of two organizations as they relate to the curricular unit chosen from Benchmark Writer's Workshop. This presentation compares and contrasts the two organizations with the unit and identifies areas where the unit is supported as well as identifies suggested modifications.
