As they pursue creating a sense of place in every project, developers must recognize the environmental and social implications attached to their projects. This comes in different forms. For example, a development in an environmentally protected area would have to mitigate for any disturbed natural vegetation or resources. In a culturally sensitive area, a developer should understand the area's stakeholders and tie aspects such as the function or architectural design of their project back to the area
