These scholarships honor former coach Gary Conner and former athlete Spencer St. Germain. Coach Conner led the cross country program for many years. The award in his name is meant to recognize those runners who have risen above the rest through their determination, attitude, leadership, and love of the program. One boy and one girl will be selected from all applicants to each receive an award of $1,250 for this scholarship. Spencer is a former team member who passed away from cancer while a student at Tahoma. His family started the scholarship in his name to recognize runners who inspire others through their attitude, passion, and love of the sport. All applicants not receiving the Gary Conner scholarship will receive an award of $1,000 for the Spencer St. Germain scholarship. All applicants must meet the requirements as stated below in order to receive an award.
Applicant must intend to enroll at a college, university, technical school, other post-secondary education institution, or branch of the United States Military.
Must compete on the Tahoma team for at least one season and must compete on the Tahoma team during their senior year.
