This unit is an introduction to the key concepts of Drama through a focus on humour. It enables students to be exposed to a play’s development from script to stage, to recognise the features of a play script and to explore the ways in which performances can be catered to different purposes, audiences and situations. Opportunities will also be provided for students to experiment with dramatic performance in their assessment task: the composition and performance of a humorous script.
