Flexible spaces create greater opportunities for students and teachers to learn and work differently. Flexible Spaces are designed to support a range of pedagogical approaches or learning styles. Teachers are able to modify learning spaces to suit the intended activity which could be teacher or student-led learning, individual or group work, even performance and presentation-based work. This can be achieved through the intrinsic versatility of a space, or elements that can be adapted to allow spaces to be used in different ways at different times. These types of spaces allow for change immediately and over time as external influences evolve. The key to the success of agile learning spaces is always adequate preparation and planning of teachers and communicating with students and parents.
