Welcome Letter to Students!

Welcome All New and Returning Students!

My name is Julianne Ellis and I look forward with anticipation to having you join my class this semester!
For those of you returning to the classroom, I am glad to welcome you back as you continue your journey toward Microsoft Office Certification and/or Admin Professional Certification. If you are a new student who is just joining our community of learning, I also welcome and encourage you to make the most of your time in this course. Your experience in this course will be what YOU make it, and your opportunities will only be limited by the limits you place on yourself. Let’s enjoy this journey together!

I am counting on YOU to make this your best semester ever at Chula Vista Adult School! And, we are here to support you every step of the way!

You are UNIQUE! I am excited to see you develop new strengths as you learn and interact with your peers. Together we will learn work skills, social skills, adaptive/life skills, teamwork and so much more.
In addition to our rigorous course curricula, we will cover a variety of topics such as time management, learning styles, and goal setting. I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about you and your plans for your future.

IET is an innovative combination of education and job skills training, used to transition adult learners beyond adult basic education and through a career pathway that can offer job training and eventual gainful employment.

Diana Arellano, is the Integrated Education and Training (IET) teacher and she is an integral part of our class team this year. The two of us are working closely to provide you with any essential services you may need throughout the semester. At the beginning of the semester, she will give a brief overview of the services she provides (free of charge) to students. So, as you start a new semester of learning, take advantage of the many services available to help you achieve your full potential. Having access to an IET teacher is just one of them!

Remember also that the Counselors and Career Services are always here to help because supporting you is central to our mission at Chula Vista Adult School. We are here to guide you as you become the best version of yourself!
