The full Diploma programme is made up of 3 DP core elements, namely Theory Of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE) and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS). For DP Courses students, their core programme is made up of Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) alone.

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) students take three subjects at Higher Level (HL) and three at Standard Level (SL). In contrast, DP Courses students select six subjects at any level, with at least two being “exam” subjects, meaning they will sit for final IB exams in these subjects.

While HL and SL courses share the same grade descriptors, HL courses cover a broader scope and require students to demonstrate a greater depth of knowledge, understanding, and skills.

IBDP Subject Groups

The IBDP curriculum is structured into six subject groups, with students selecting one subject from each group. However, instead of a Group 6 subject (Arts), students may opt for an additional subject from Group 3 (Individuals and Societies) or Group 4 (Sciences). Additionally, students may take two Group 1 subjects instead of selecting a Group 2 subject.
