The French Kindergarteners project is a reflection about their first unit: Who We Are.

Through this unit, the children learned that a community is a group of people living in the same place, helping each other in different ways depending on the job the people were doing. They investigated different jobs and roles that members do to help their community. They also thought about their own contribution to the community in the future.

Their drew a portrait of themselves in their future role. These portraits are inspired by the French artist, Isabelle Kessedjian who is famous for her series “Quand je serai grand, je serai…”. The children painted the buildings, participated in the decor confection and added the details. To conclude, they recorded themselves by sharing the role they would love to do in the future. They collaborated together to create this lively future community.
