Christmas Break Roll

My final enlarged print was taken from the lower FPAC lobby the day winter break ended and school was back in session. In large part, I chose it for the stark contrast between the snow on the ground and the silhouetted trees in the background. But I think it really shows how schoolwork was a big part of my break. This will be my final winter break in high school, and I spent a significant amount of it working on assignments and prepping for the midterms. However, I also saw my family, I travelled, and hung out with friends too. I think this part of my break comes through the eye of one who may not know where this was taken from, seeing as the school itself isn’t in the shot. If you remove that aspect, I looks to me like a scene of travel. Untouched snow and telephone polls leading down the road, away from you. The overall image works really well, not only as a good black and white shot, but also as a piece for my winter break roll.
