Portfolio Review and Reflection:
1) When I signed up for Photo, I wanted to learn how things worked when it came to cameras, taking well taken photos. But I learned a lot more. It truly was really successful I learned what I came into this class for. Met a wonderful teacher. Mr. Anderson, made this class fun. He was extremely helpful, which is very necessary for this class, I think if you didn't have a good teacher. It wouldn't be such a successful experience.
2) The hardest portion of this class was by far the entirely with digital photography, I hated it. It was such a pain, I hated that a simple mistake on my end could cost me my entire work. But it was the same with darkroom photography, a simple mistake on my end could cost me my enitre roll of film. You have to be extremely careful and mindful of all the mistakes you could end up making because it could cost you. That was the only issue I had, I tend to need to make mistakes in order to learn, but when I made mistakes during these units they weren't simple anymore.
3) My favorite project, by far the Portraits, last assignment of the year and it was by far my favorite. I liked being able to have a model, someone to sit and talk to while working/creating . It made it so much more interesting, being able to tell someone to "put your finger here" "hold the book this way." "Yeah you got it" It was fun, I felt like an important part in this assignment, I mean I was because I was taking the photos. But I had fun. Definitely my favorite assignment.
4) Multiplicity, I hated this assignement. It made my brain hurt from how much I was trying to understand why my images weren't laying the right way. Mr. A explained it to our group several times, I just couldn't get it. I hated how many steps there were, by the time I got to actually work I'd get about half way down and simply couldn't remember the steps or I just didn't understand.
5)It has impacted it greatly, I look at things now and think that would be a great image. Or when someone shows me an image and theres a great set of leading lines I think to myself, that's amazing. All because of this class, these weren't things i had ever noticed before, more like sat down and spent the time not caring when people showed me images. But now it's so interesting because everyone takes completely different images. Something i learned "All that matters is you like your image. Nobody else has to."
