Artist Statement: 

At first when we did the value strip I thought I was really going to enjoy this project the whole idea of just the simple motion of scratching it, but I ended up not really enjoying it, I had a really hard time with the shades, the lights and darks in the piece. Drove me insane trying to get each one to be seperate and not combine with one another was incredibly difficult. I couldn't get the lights as light as they should be and by the time i would realize that they were to white It was to far gone. I couldn't fix it after that due to the fact when it comes to ScratchBoard you can't really  go back and fix those mistakes you made.
