I’m calling this project, Chrome because the airplane was made to look like a chrome Boeing 757-223 airplane. The subject is a Sculpture based off a 1/400 scale model of a Boeing 757-223 (N189AN) Flown by American Airlines. I chose to create this specific work because I love Aviation and the Boeing 757. For materials, I used Cardboard, Wire, Pipe Insulation, Tape, Aluminium Foil, and Hot glue. I used a variety of techniques and methods including: Gluing, Cutting, and Assembling. While creating this work, I paid close attention to The Shape by Redoing parts that didn’t look good. I wanted my artwork to look authentic and I did that by studying my model. I like the way the wings look and I am proud of my structure. However, I struggled with the nose cone. If I created another work like this I may base it off of a different aircraft. My work shows that I learned how to complete a project on my own without any structure in class.
