Scratchboard

For this project I used Scratchboard paper and scratch tools.

My inspiration for this project was one of my cats. I used a picture of her as my reference.

To start this project I did a value strip to learn the material. After that I traced the outline onto my reference by using a soft pencil to create an indent to know where to scratch off. I started with the ears then I moved down to her white fur on her neck. After that I did her facial features and finally added some fur texture.
