The task

Throughout the Nourish unit, we explored the process behind growing crops and how they affect the world around us. We started off by seeing the journey that crops took to our local grocery stores. We also learned about the benefits of buying local, the various food seasons, and the marketing tactics that various companies use to lure customer in.

For our action plan, we created a website that could show some common crops and their benefits, risks, growth process, and whether they are worth buying. We hope that it can teach people and help them decide if they should buy them the next time they're out grocery shopping

Reflection

Throughout this unit, I learned about environmental issues, benefits of buying local, and used my knowledge to inform others about eating healthier. This exemplifies cultural competence by teaching and inspiring others to help the community through buying local and helping to reduce environmental issues. I also did well in collaboration by working together with my group while splitting up the project to finish everything much faster.

However, I think that our project suffered because we were tight on time and had to rush everything which may have brought down the quality of our final project. I also have to work on collaboration by taking on more of a leadership role and helping others in my group.
