Cell Project

Project: We were tasked with completing an accurate animal cell poster to help us comprehend the parts of a prokaryotic cell. For my portion of completion I mainly did the cell wall structure diagram in the top right of the poster as well as coloring in the background of the cell and some of the parts in it. I also participated in the research for the terms and concise definitions.

Animal Cells vs Plant Cells.

Similarities: Cytoplasm, Ribosomes, Mitochondria, Endoplasmic Reticulum, Golgi Apparatus, and Nucleus.

Differences: Plant cells have a cell wall while animal cells do not. Plant cells have a significantly larger vacuole than animal cells. Plant cells have and use chloroplast to do photosynthesis and create food. Animal cells have lysosomes while plant cells usually don't.

Prokaryotes vs Eukaryotes

Similarities: DNA, Ribosomes, Plasma Membrane, and Cytoplasm.

Differences: Prokaryotes are small and very simple while eukaryotes can be very complex. Eukaryotes can be multicelluar. Eukaryotes contain a nucleus and organelles.

Reflection: In this project I believe that I held my weight in most retrospects. I had a very committed work ethic with my all of my portions of the project and we had incredibly good timing as we finished early. I did though have some lack of development in the drawing department of the parts inside the cell. I also was not up to standard in my team cooperation of the project. Throughout the project 2 of us worked on it for the first 15 minutes and the other 2 worked on it for the next 15 minutes rather than all of us working progressively.
