capstone part 4

We could have done a little bit more progress but our teacher kept on assigning a lot of assignments we had to do. But we welded some of the frame and ordered a lot of metal This website update doesn't have a lot of material on it as it was only a couple weeks of work, but below are all of the assignments we did and all the progress we've done on our Go Kart, including pictures and videos. 

Current State of the build so far:

Here is our welded frame and what we have so far, we could have completely finished the frame but we needed to order more metal online that was strong enough, because Home Depot ran out of stock.

Here are the tires and as you can see, I mounted some slicks on them for more grip on the road, and it was pretty hard as I manually had to take the rain tires off and put the slicks on, so it was quite physically demanding.

Helped teach my friends how to weld.

I helped teach Harrison, Ayham and Zach how to weld. this was a fun experience for everyone something everyone should know.

These assignments were meant to teach us how to stress test an object or product, and the picture on the left is my better test of the 2, and you can see all of the different colors show how much stress is being put onto the object.

Reflection: I think we could've done better with ordering parts a lot quicker as our communication could've and should've been a lot better. It didn't help that our teacher kept on assigning a bunch of time consuming assigbments whch took a lot of time away from us. But we did weld more of the frame and I learned how to weld which was fun and cool. I have some pictures and videos of that above. We I also mounted some slick tires on our rims so thats good that we got some stuff done. But our time management could've been a little better as we all have missing assignments in this class so that s something we all have to work on.
