Work - This is the work for the Robot Art Show, we created a Frog Game which has 3 buttons, a left, right, and jump. A Frog it jumping trying to catch a fly, which gives you a point each time. If you don't catch the fly it's a "Miss". This was our second to last STEM Marin project. My partner for this project was Bella G, we created a game on the LCD Screen, making it a fun game for people.
Content -
Circuit - A closed loop of conductive material from one end of power source (-) to the other (+)
Series Circuit - A circuit with single path and multiple components
Parallel Circuit - A circuit with branches and separate paths for flow of charge
Power (p) - The rate of transferring electrical energy through a circuit (p=iv) - Watts (W)
Charge - The magnitude of electrical quantity
Voltage (v) - The potential energy difference from one side of component to the other (drop/height) - Volts (v)
Resistance (r) - The amount of current is slowed/resisted through an obstacle - Ohms
Current (i) - The flow of charge/electricity through the circuit - Amps
Ohm's Law - (v=ir), The voltage is equal to current times resistance
Coulomb's Law - (F= kq1q2/r^2), The force of attraction/repulsion between 2 static charges is proportional to their changes and inversely proportional to the distance between them is squared
Reflection - This was our second to last STEM Marin project. This project was called Robot Art Show, for this project we had to create a game. This project consisted of two people, Bella G and myself. My partner and I created a game called 'Frog Game'. We created the game on the LCD screen, and we had 3 buttons, one was a jump, right, and left button. On the LCD screen the "F" stood for Frog and the "*" was the fly. The point of the game was for the frog to catch the fly, and every time it caught the fly you would get a point. When you miss the fly the word "Miss" will pop up on your screen indicating that you did not catch the fly, and you will have to wait a second or two until proceeding back to the game. I think this was a very fun game that we created because it was like a real life game pressing buttons to catch a fly making it more entertaining for the user. Something that I did well for this project was collaborating with my partner and working well together. We managed to work well together and able to create a game. Something that I think I could work on for the next project is to really push myself for the last unit and make sure I have a better understanding of the unit at the beginning. I think this was a good and fun project, but it wasn't one of my favorites, because the coding component got a bit confusing at times.
