The process with this project was more simple then our previous project. We started off by choosing a sport and a move in the sport like shooting that we can use. My group picked kicking a soccer ball for a penalty kick.
Our next step was to make a story board/script to follow while filming. The story consisted the ball line up, pre-kick ritual, stretching, close up of foot kicking the ball, and a full angle of the shot and score. After that we describe our physics behind the kick.
Yet we did not have a written script we still had a good process.
First we had to plan a mini story board for our video. For the first part of the filming I was not at school because I had a concussion but I still was helping with the video and was in it towards the end.
It took us a while to get the right angle of the shot but when we got it the rest of the film was easy. towards the end we messed up a lot describing the physics.
Force of impact
Our force of impact of the foot hitting the ball is 561.6N which is the same force needed to lift 126.25 lbs.
Horizontal Velocity
Our horizontal velocity was 15.03 meters per second. That is translated to 33 miles an hour.
Vertical Velocity
The vertical velocity is 7.3 meters per second or 16 miles per hour
Total Velocity
Total velocity is 16.71 meters per second which is 37 miles per hour.
Calculations
In this project I learned how important getting things done on time are and How to manage myself better. I need to work on focusing my self and staying focused.
