Our total energy is the top yellow line. It is the highest line because you can't have an energy higher then the total energy. Thermal energy is found by subtracting potential energy with kinetic energy and is represented with the green line. Our kinetic energy was very low through out our five meters it is represented by the blue line.
Our velocity V.S time graph is shown to the left and we have time on the X axis and Velocity on the Y axis. The peek of our velocity is at 1 second. It was going 1.35 meter per second.
Our distance over time graph is show to the left and our car had a steady incline the entire way. Even though we did not make it to 5 meters we still made it 4.8 meters.
The process of making this was rough. We had a very slow start with lots of ideas on the drawing board. Then we finally locked this idea in and went to work.
We had too little friction to a point where our wheels would't work and just slide. we ended up putting rubber bands on them but that was too much friction so we took them off. we finished our wheel with bits of hot glue on them to give some friction but not a lot.
We did not have the inertial equation for our wheels so we can not show that in the website. two things I learned from this are problem solving and persistence. two things I need to work on are team work and sharing the work load.
