"Lord of the Flies" Characterization:
Lord of the Flies is a novel written by William Golding. The novel is set on an uninhabited island and follows a group of boys who have been stranded there. The boys must work together to survive, but they quickly become divided and begin to fight amongst themselves. The themes in the novel include the inherent evil of humanity, the dangers of mob mentality, and the importance of order and civilization in society. The novel is also a commentary on the effects of the loss of adults and the social constraints that they provide. The novel's title, Lord of the Flies, refers to the conflict between the boys' civilized instincts and their savage impulses. Our group was asked to create a presentation about the themes in the novel and also was asked to write a paragraph about the characterization linked to our character. The following is attached above.
