Macromolecule

In this project we learned how macromolecules worked and how they reacted to solutions

We began by testing out the solutions mixing in with the substances to see the reaction and this would help us find out what kind of macromolecule it was. Then we began to see which foods had what macromolecules in it due to its composition. This allows us to figure out what kind of things are used to make up another. We also found what a human being should have as a decently healthy diet to not become unhealthy. This was by finding the compositions of the foods effects on the body which would best improve our system.

Macromolecule - Molecule containing a large number of atoms, protein, nucleic acid, carbohydrates, lipids, or synthetic polymer.

Lipids - Organic compounds that are fatty acids or they are derivatives and are insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents

Proteins - Organic compounds that have large molecules composed of long chains of amino acids and are essential to all living organisms

Carbohydrates - Organic compounds in foods and living tissues which are including sugars, starch, and cellulose

solutions - a substance diluted which is used to test things reaction to them to see what it is

nucleic acids - building blocks of life which are found in every living thing

In conclusion this project made me understand the purpose and composition of macromolecules which helps us understand how things work by getting to the smallest thing to see how it interacts and does thing which will help us learn about life which will be more and more useful when we learn more about it.
