We planted Eastern Red bud trees (which grow up to 20 feet tall) on the south side of the area to block the sunlight in the hotter months. The trees will drop their leaves to allow light in during the colder months.

We looked at human use patterns in the surrounding area to pick where to place our entrances to our outdoor space. We also chose our plants through human use patterns, would look more appealing to the area and background

Our 3D modeling process was to make our model to scale as best as possible. We started with the base and worked out the dimensions. After we added the maker space to add it a bit of direction.

We had a simple design so we knew that our cost would not be too high. After listing materials, we went to the source and found the costs and then added California tax and contingency.

We chose wood chips for the ground as they absorbed the most water and were the most affordable. We found the colored picnic tables to make the area colorful and joyful. And allowed for most possible uses for it

We designed a blueprint to show how we display our outdoor space. For designing, we found the exact measurements of the area we were creating, as well as including appeal of the area for the students. We measured everything and decided what the best placement for each part of the design was. We scaled our blueprint precisely to our area.

This project involves a lot of concepts to complete goal and having been a CONSCIENTIOUS LEARNER I think I allowed for the project to be able to achieve more goals, which also allowed me to view the project from a larger view to understand the grand scope of things
I also demonstrated CRITICAL THINKING and saw that the project needed a realistic well designed outcome at least from us, I also was able to kind of gauge what kind of things were more necessary to include like strategically planned exit layout and bench layout
The first thing I didn't show my strength in was being COLLABORATIVE, I didn't allow my self to see the group in a better position to assist the project which lead to a weakening in effort, next time I will look to see what could improve the projects strengths with a better outlook with my group
The last improvement I should make is being a better COMMUNICATOR this would've allowed us to view the situation easier and calmer. On the next project I'll look to making having a group an advantage not a disadvantage
