The Secondary Supervised Teaching Seminar at Dominican University of California prepares future teachers for the classroom by focusing on classroom management, assessment, professional responsibilities, reflection, portfolio development, exam preparation, safety procedures, instructional strategies, and communication with parents and colleagues. It also gives student teachers a place to share experiences, get peer support, and build confidence in handling classroom challenges.
(These are the lesson plans I made during my student teaching.)

Student Comic Art: Demonstrating Understanding
Creative Assessment in 8th Grade Science
In 8th grade science, students created comic art as a creative assessment to demonstrate their understanding of natural selection. This engaging project allowed them to illustrate key concepts like variation, adaptation, survival of the fittest, and evolution through storytelling and visuals. Their work highlights how hands-on, artistic methods effectively showcase mastery of the unit while fostering creativity and critical thinking.

Light Waves Drawing Assessment
Students' Drawing: Demonstrating Understanding
Creative Assessment in 8th Grade Science
In this 8th-grade science activity, students demonstrate their understanding of light waves through a drawing assessment. Instead of writing only their answers, they can use pictures to creatively explain their understanding. This helps them demonstrate their learning while making science more engaging and fun.
