In the midst of a busy beginning to the school year, it’s always nice to take a breather, have fun, and show some school spirit. Last week, students across the school dressed up and showed out to display their school pride before the culminating Homecoming football game and dance. Throughout the week, many students across the entire school pulled out all of the stops with their outfits that matched our five spirit days: Powderpuff, White Lies, Zoom Fits, Country vs. Country Club, and Class Color.
In front of a packed home crowd, the Clarence Red Devils delivered a dramatic 15-9 victory over Kenwest in their much-anticipated homecoming football game.. The energy in the stadium was hyped up from kickoff, amplified by the student section’s impressive participation in the “white out” theme.
This year, for Clarence, the Homecoming Dance was on October 11th. After an exciting spirit week leading up to the dance. Homecoming is a fun night where you get to hang out with friends, dance to songs you know the lyrics to, and have a bite to eat. Also, to add to the excitement of 5 days of school spirit.

Every senior right now knows how stressful this time can be. Parents are on your back about getting your essays done, while deadlines approach faster than you had hoped. Deciding your future and where you want to go is extremely difficult, but so is just applying. Applying to a variety of different colleges is stressful and can feel overwhelming.. Here are some tips that may help with this complex process!
If you’re interested in trying something new, and maybe even something athletic, you should try rifle club! The rifle club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the rifle range, next to the library. The rifle club focuses on three main principles: safety, sportsmanship, and skill.
Following last year’s beautiful issue, Chrysalis has regrouped again for the annual publication for the 2025-2026 school year. Led by Mrs Sorrels and Mr Aquilina, a small but expanding group of students gets together to plan, edit, and then publish a magazine in a professional format.
As a high school student, it is especially important to be involved in clubs and extracurricular activities. Students who have a passion for dance might think there are no options for them at our school. That is probably because they have never heard of the CHS Dance Club, a desirable club for motivated dancers.
Coming up this November, the Clarence High School Drama Club’s production of Noises Off will be taking the stage. This “play within a play,” centered around the goings on behind the scenes of the show, is a rich comedy with three acts. One actress, Bella Zinno, describes the play as “a chaotic, funny, disorganized mess.” In Noises Off, the actors play distinct characters, ranging from a ditzy young woman to an egotistical director.

When the NFL first kicked off a regular-season game outside the United States in 2005, Arizona played against San Francisco in Mexico City. It felt like a fun experiment, a one-time showcase for fans who had only seen American football on TV. But that game, played in front of more than 100,000 roaring fans, proved something important: the rest of the world wanted a taste of the NFL.
On October 8th, 2025, the Clarence boys JV and Varsity Volleyball teams hosted Lancaster as a divisional matchup. For Varsity, this was a huge match for them, considering how Clarence beat Frontier, who beat Lancaster, which gave them the same divisional record (5-1, in NYSPHSAA Section 6 D1).
