On October 8th, 2025, the Clarence boys JV and Varsity Volleyball teams hosted Lancaster as a divisional matchup. For Varsity, this was a huge match for them, considering how Clarence beat Frontier, who beat Lancaster, which gave them the same divisional record (5-1, in NYSSPHA Section 6 D1).
On the JV side of these matches, they would lose with a series score of 2-1, with their win coming from the 3rd set. In the first 2 sets, Clarence fought with Lancaster hard, with close losses in those 2 sets. Though these were losses, they played hard with James Dambra having amazing sets and connecting with Cole Murdy and Chase Holden for powerful hits. Delphin Bogdan was a staple in the offense as their middle hitter with strong down-balls1 and amazing short passing. During the third set, the backups showed heart with Benjamin Barkley and Charlie Lucas hitting hard, keeping the Lancaster defense on their toes.
For Varsity, Clarence swept Lancaster with a 3-0 victory. Connor DiZerba had precision setting, connecting to Blake L. for some hard hitting. Cole Mack had lights-out defense, getting almost every pass up and helping get Varsity the win.
1Down-Ball: a hard hit that the opponent cannot pass well.
