Every culture has its traditions for celebrating the season of giving, but the sentiment is always the same: Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings of our lives and the people we care about. It is a holiday centered around gratitude and selflessness, and there are many unique ways cultures spread the message of this holiday.
Thanksgiving pies are a staple of the holiday dessert spread, offering both tradition an indulgence in every bite. The most known being pumpkin pie, which is recognized with the holiday Thanksgiving itself, but many others fit the fall flavors.

Thanksgiving is a beloved holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. One of the most well-known traditions on Thanksgiving is eating a big meal and watching football, which has become “America’s” sport!
School
Are you interested in a school club that consistently holds meetings and provides loads of opportunities? If so, I highly suggest considering Future Teachers of America, better known as FTA. FTA is a club where students who might be interested in a career with education participate in experiences related to teaching.
Did you know that 0.999 repeating is exactly equal to 1? Don’t believe me? Ask your math teacher, it's true! This is just one example of the many topics covered at the Clarence Math Club! Math club meets on Friday mornings at 8:15 in Room 447. All are welcome!
Sports
On Friday, November 1st, six Clarence High School gymnasts represented Section VI at Sectional competition at the Lancaster Field House. After winning Division 2 earlier in the season, the team went on to place second at Sectionals.
National
December 19th, 2018, marked the beginning of a humanitarian crisis in Sudan: mass genocide, unlawful rule, sexual exploitation, and displacement. The current climate in Sudan is, in every way, unjustifiable and unconscionable. If not already, innocent Sudanese civilians will be forced into the refugee and asylum systems, fleeing to places unknown, in a world where seeking true freedom is far from plausible.

As soon as Halloween wraps up, it seems like Christmas takes over. Stores start putting up decorations, Christmas music fills the airwaves, and festive ads pop up everywhere. But many people are left wondering: is it too soon to begin celebrating Christmas? Some feel that starting the holiday season too early takes away from its specialness, while others embrace the extra cheer.
