Overview
Today, we gonna have a sharing with Dr. Nik about the outbound mobility program. Dr. Nik started her speech by introducing herself as a prior director of this mobility program. She proceeded by introducing to us the outbound mobility program and the benefit that students could get from this program. She also said UPM targets which to ensure all their student could go to the mobility program at least once whether in a short period or a long period. However the decision is all in the student’s hands. Besides that, the speaker also informed us about all types of mobility programs provided by UPM. There is physical mobility which the student needs to study abroad at the other university. For online mobility, the student doesn’t need to go study abroad. Only stay in UPM but join the course that the partner university has provided.

Next, the speaker also explaining about the outbound application flow. The students need to follow all the step to ease the process of approval. Besides that, the speaker also takes about the travel grant provided by UPM. Each travel has its specialty and advantages for the student. Hence, the student needs to analyze and take opportunities toward the travel grant that brings a large benefit to the student. Furthermore, the speaker also informed us about all scholarships provided for the mobility program. For example AUN, ERASMUS, and AIMS scholarships. Most of these scholarships are open for all fields yet there has their requirement that students need to fulfill.
Conclusion
Last but not least, something that I could conclude from this seminar is if the students have an interest to involve or participate in the mobility program the student must focus and always be alert to the notification and feedback from the I-Putra department. The students could miss the opportunities if doesn’t alert to the responses of the I-Putra department. Furthermore, the students need to put some effort to find the best scholarship and travel grant that bring large benefits to the students. Last 2 years, there are 2 students from the civil department getting a scholarship from the united state scholarship. From that, all their allowance, accommodation, and flight fees are getting fully sponsored. So, students who have an interest could start finding and wielding their knowledge about this program.
