Monday: Wynnie was Absent
Tuesday: Wynnie was Absent
Wednesday: On Wednesday we really worked on cleaning up the two copies we had cut out in the previous days. Due to the fact that we had an assembly and an early release day, we were quite tight on time, however, we wanted to still make use of the time that we had. Yohanna worked to get the tape off of the model while I worked with an exacto knife to cut off the rest of the acrylic. While this was very tedious, it was necessary to make our project look clean, and so it allowed for the blocks to lock into place. This was part of the construction phase because we were still constructing our model and piecing each part together to make our design come to life.
Thursday: Due to the fact that we didn't have as much time as we wanted on wednesday, we had to continue working on cleaning up the copies that we had cut out. We also met with Mr. Rojas to talk to him about cutting out the next part of our build which would be the blocks and the bottom part of it. To get them ready for laser cutting I had to fix the fusion model to flatten everything out. Because it is a smaller piece, we are able to use the laser cutter which will be much faster and more efficient than the CNC machine. This is also part of the construct and test phase as we are still working to build our model and cutting out the next piece will be the next step in assembly.
Friday: On friday neither of us were here due to a handball tournament and IHSA Musical Theatre Review State.
Plan Moving Forward: This is our last week before spring break. We plan to utilize spring break to keep pushing along with our project. Wynnie is going to take home the circuit equipment as well as the load cells to try to begin designing and testing our weight sensor.
