With the CNC machine up and running, we were able to start cutting out our first base. It started with the letter R and then went to cutting the edges. We ran into an issue with the metal sparking and to take precaution we removed the bristles and decided to hand vacuum it instead.  We finished the program, but due to the fact that the bit was very dull, it did not cut all the way through in some places so we were unable to finish it. Going forward we are going to attempt to change the bit and run the program again to see if it works. We are also going to reduce the strength of the CNC machine, because the strength of the machine was too rough on the bit causing it to become dull that's why it didn't cut through all of the metal.  If that still does not work, we are going to use acrylic instead as it will be easier to cut.
