For lesson 1 I think I got pretty far it was basic stuff since we already did this multiple times. But it was still good practice and important to keep doing becuse overtime it will improve my fineling skills and keeping my hand steady. Hopefully by the second I'll be able to finish everything off.
By lesson 2 I finished everything which I was very happy about because it took me a short amount of time to finish it. Overall im happy with my lines I think they're steady and crisp. They all look clean except the first one but that's alright. Practice makes perfect.
To do my background I have decided that I want it to be a resin based hand mixer with like acrylic parts. So to be able to find the perfect marbled texture and colour I just searched up resin background texture in google. First I tried searching up marble background texture but it didn't look nice and nothing fit the theme that I was going for, plus the texture was too marblely if that makes sense. It just didn't seem right and it would not fit with the hand mixers. The bottom 3 are the ones I've chose to add in the website but I have other resin backgrounds that I used for this work.
I like this one because of the tye dye colour and how the gold lines just sort of blends every colour in and i think the gold glittery line flakes thingy really compliments everything and I think it would fit nicely as a hand mixer background.
I like this one because it's like watercolour, everything looks very wet if that makes sense and all the colours are next to eachother but arent blending which I find interesting. I think it would be a interesting hand mixer base colour.
I really really like this resin background it's very elegant and very rich. It's very palace, royalty like. I like the pearl glittery part it's very subtle but still bold and again the gold orangey bit stands out but not too much so it still compliments the other parts of the resin.
The first lesson, background wise I got really far considering this was my first time doing it and I am not familiar with procreate. I prefer real rendering and fineling and I still do. But I think it's important to still practice with procreate because it's good to be good at many things. You know like versatility.
For lesson two I was pretty distracted because I was really tired so I didn't get much done. But still it was pretty easy I don't think I did the same masking technique as everyone else but it works. I will get into this later but I think my way of masking is slower but less complicated, since I missed a few lessons I struggled to remember the technique.
I finished it in 3 lessons which is okay I guess, I think I would've liked to finish it in 2 lessons but 3 is good enough. I only did one that was wood based the other was all resin marbled base. I have a few favorites which I will get into later on but I think I need to improve on my shading becasue it looks very bad at the moment. Like I said before I am not good with procreate.
I think it's important to mention what brush to use because I find it really hard to choose the perfect brush for shadows. Since I dont know all the brushes in procreate I went with the most basic one which was the soft brush I was most familiar with this brush so it was okay for me when I used it. It didnt turn out as nice and If im being honest Im not very happy with it but practice makes perfect and I am still learning. So hopefully next time it'll look better.
I chose this as my top 3 because I like how the acrylic colour matches my resin background. Even though the shadows were a bit weird and wonky the colour scheme kinda covers that up making it look nice and put together. This hand mix also looks like a shark which is quite cool and since the colour scheme is blue and turqoise that fits perfectly.
This one made it to my top 3 because again the colour scheme. I just think this is a very pretty blue and the acrylic colour goes so well with the resin texture. I also like the shape of this hand mixer too it's very verticle and the curve is very elegant.
This one's in my top three because I am in love with the resin texture, I like how the orange and the yellow and the red just compliments eachother so nicely, the background texture is just so bold and powerful it kinda reminds me of fire and like flames. I also like the acrylic colour I chose, like the other two it complients and fits in with the resin texture very nicely.
