Now that I have used markers for the first time the next stage is to practice and repeat the techniques - long flowing lines but on more complex shapes. I will start with the 2D Hand Held Whisk sheet. All of the concept ideas are mixtures of the basic shapes but with curved sides in many cases. The addition of buttons, handles, rounds, air vents etc. will test how I control the markers more effectively. The use of shadows is particularly important as well as subtle use of black pencil to get the depth with the markers.

These are the rendering I accomplished in three lessons. The first lesson I only managed to render four hand whisks because I was also using my time in the lesson to pratice and learn the techniques that were needed for this task. The first four colors I've chosen were purely random but I really liked the red because the colour's very bold and bright. By the second lesson I was able to render in all of them and so far my favorite hand whisk has got to be the lime green one, because my favorite is green and I like how the yellow bit that's sticking is in the same theme as the main color. To make shadows obvious and parts of the hand whisks darker I go over it with the marker a few times pressing quite hard onto the paper. By the third lesson I started on the shadows by using the black faber castell coloring pencil and rendering three shapes. My favorite part of the whole process has got to be adding the shadows and rendering with the black coloring pencil because I like how realistic the art is after rendering and how it kinda pops after.
By the fourth lesson I was able to finish the whole paper, I like how the final piece turned out and I'm very happy with the choice of colours I've chosen because I feel like everything compliments each other very very well. I would consider this piece to be incredibly successful, the only comment I would add or maybe adjust if I were to redo this is that I would stick with the black faber castel pencil because it does the job the best. Midway rendering I switched the pencil to some other one which didnt work as well so my rendering was quite scruffy.
This was the paper everyone got before we started coloring it in and rendering, It was already fine lined for us. The lines are quite confusing though because there are a few crate lines that were finelined.
This is my favorite whisk I did because I love how the lime green and the yellow compliments each other. I am also very happy with the highlights I left out. It made the whisk look very realistic and it just looks really good and well put together. I am also very happy with how I rendered this whisk I feel like I got the curve accurate and I really made the whisk pop. Overall it was very succesful.
