Since I missed one lesson while I was away at fobisia I didn't get a chance to fully learn how to do it so I sort of just gave it a go. Which obviously was wrong. My first shape was a rectangle and it's a pretty basic shape.
In order to make a shape 3D you have to revolve it and in order to revolve it you have to draw the shape correctly which I didnt do. As you can see here I outlined the entire shape which is wrong, the only part I did here that was right was the middle line and that was mostly it.
This is what it's supposed to look like, now the revolve step will be done correctly. You only need half a shape in order to revolve it not the whole shape. I didn't start over I just used the trim tool which you will see later on and I just trimmed/cut one half of the shape and just continued with the revolvement step.
This was the drawing paper that I used for my Onshape, I basically copy these shapes down using the tools appropriate for each shape.
the straight line icon is used to outline any straight lines I used this to outline like squares and rectangles
the diagonal icon is used to make lines, doesn't matter what time just not curvy
the scissors were used to cut and to remove
the square icon is used to make a square I lied telling you I used the line icon actually I used the square
the curvy icon is used to make curves and to make straight lines curvy
the revolve icon is used to make a shape 3D by revolving around the selected axis
First you outline half of the shape by using the appropriate tool
you only have to outline the shape
then you revolve the shape to make a full shape
tada youre done
This was my onshape template I used to draw on
The first step is shading it in with a soft cool toned grey using the real marker tool
Then I did the same thing with a darker shade of grey also with the same tool
After that I started finelining it and making a colour block
