During forming the needs of my PDS I realised that I do not need to provide multiple learning approaches in my system for the learners to practice over, to suit the different learner's of English speakers learning Japanese
As reminded by Robbie, foreign language learning is optional but not compulsory to learn like in primary and high schools, where I am supposed to motivate learners who are already motivated to learn and to ensure they do not lose their motivation in Kanji learning
Whereas I believe if people with a good learning attitude are already motivated they will eventually switch and adjust their usual learning mode while accessing my kanji cooperate system. On the other hand, people who are unmotivated would not even be interested in my work as they may stick to their usual learning method. Hence, my final product should focus on the motivation of Japanese learners with English backgrounds
The kanji cooperate system covers a proper amount of frequently learnt intermediate-level kanji
The amount should not be too many or too few, otherwise it will cause people too overwhelmed to learn
The kanji cooperate system has to be engaging to learn
So that learners can easily get recalled the meanings of actual kanji
Motivate them to approach more Japanese-based content like popular media and books that further improve their proficiency
The kanji cooperate system should embedded with friendliness
Friendliness can help with enhancing motivation in learners, but not the biggest factor in motivating themselves since there should be other factors that influence them
The illustrations in my kanji cooperate system should have a consistent visual aesthetic
The consistency of visual language will make my kanji cooperate system works together as a thread
The kanji cooperate system has to be affordable
Accessing high-quality learning materials nowadays is expensive so I hope my final outcome will be more affordable for higher accessibility
The kanji cooperate system has to reach a broad number of age groups in learners with English-speaking background
I believe my project with my illustrations has the potential to spread to different ages of people, not only the youngsters
