"I got ten adults and ten teenagers together. We paired them up and let them talk for ten minutes. I then gave them a description of my listening knowledge and a crash course on how to truly listen. This included letting go of ego, judgment, not thinking of your response whilst the other person is still talking, body language and truly being in the moment. All things we think we do, but when you really concentrate on it, we actually don’t. That was a snipit of my greenstone talk.
For my greenstone I explored the power of listening and how different the world would be if we all genuinly listened to one another. I held a workshop and interviewed some interesting people. I was attracted to this as a project due to my inherantly social nature and interest in people. Once I realised listening brought it all together it was a no brainer. My ability to actively listen has developed so greatly.
Obviously the presentation is such a large part of this project and that took so much planning and preping.
I try and express my ideas graphically and verbally.

Taking feedback was a key element to getting better at public speaking and i feel that i took feedback on well.

I kind of created my own tip comprised of teachers and parents and friends to help me with this project.
For me it was important everyone felt heard but also that i got the final say so that my project didn't become anyone eases.
