Welcome to Daegu!

Welcome to Daegu!  We are very excited that you have decided to join our family.   This website is designed to help make your transition to Daegu much smoother by providing you with necessary information.   

Many of us came to Daegu also new to DoDEA, and if that is true for you, you will be learning about and entering two cultures at the same time (Korea, and the military culture).  You are going to be bombarded with so much information in the next few weeks (months) and so this site isn’t meant to be an exhaustive account but just an overview of the things we think it is important for you to know before you come. 

It’s hard to deal with this new culture.   Our biggest piece of advice is to keep asking for help. There are many friendly staff who will be happy to keep answering your questions, or help you find where to get the answers. Try not to let yourself get too bogged down in the slow pace of details-- we’ve all been through it, and it DOES get easier!
