Cookery is an exploratory course under Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) for Junior High School specifically Grade 7 and 8. At the end of this course, the learners should be able to:

• Utilize appropriate kitchen tools, equipment and paraphernalia.

• Maintain appropriate kitchen tools, equipment and paraphernalia.

• Store and stack kitchen tools and equipment.

• Carry out measurements and calculations in a required task.

• Calculate cost of production.

• Value the importance of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

• Identify hazards and risks in the workplace.

• Evaluate and control hazards and risks in the workplace
